An exciting start to our 90th Anniversary year: Presenting the cast of "An Unseasonable Fall of Snow"

10 Dec

The Management Committee is thrilled to announce the first production for 2026, launching a year-long celebration to mark our 90th anniversary. We are proud to open with an unforgettable dramatic work from acclaimed New Zealand playwright Gary Henderson. His powerful 1998 play, An Unseasonable Fall of Snow, delivers a raw and honest exploration of toxic masculinity and the devastating impact that isolation and disconnection can have on mental health.

This gripping production promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. In the story, a confused and troubled young man—brought to life by Andre Liddicoat—is relentlessly interrogated by a determined and predatory questioner, portrayed by Joseph Rehu-Hahunga. Their tense dynamic stories unravel with mounting intensity as secrets are revealed and truth is pursued at all costs.

As described by Playmarket (2007), An Unseasonable Fall of Snow is “a compelling investigation of truth, consequences and the ultimate value of life.”

Be sure to join us as we kick off our anniversary year with this captivating play and outstanding performances that promise to provoke thought and stir emotion.

Tickets for this short 6 performance season (6-14 March)  will go on sale soon at iTicket
