It is with much sadness that the Production Team of 12 Angry Men have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the final two performances – tonight and tomorrow night.
Unfortunately one of the cast was notified on Thursday evening that he was a “close contact” of a positive COVID-19 case and needed to get tested immediately and isolate until he has a negative test on Day 8. This resulted in having to cancel Thursday’s performance at short notice.
Because of the close contact cast and crew members have had with each other over the last week, they are considered “secondary contacts” and are required to isolate and get tested as well.
For the rest of us who have been in the Green Room or auditorium, we are advised to self-isolate and get tested if we show any signs or symptoms.
Obviously, this is gutting for the director Liam Hagan, and the cast and crew who put together an amazing production and we know we have a lot of very disappointed patrons who will miss out on seeing this wonderful play. We have had such wonderful feedback from those who have seen the show and we can be thankful that we got to open and get four shows in before having to pull the pin.
For those of you who had tickets for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances, iTicket will be in touch with you regarding a refund. Please be patient, it may take a few days for them to do this, as unfortunately there are productions all around the country which are having to cancel or postpone as well, and iTicket are working as quickly as they can.
